Being unprepared for this new power, Emily was unable to fully carry out her plan when Galatea Future did arrive. It turned out she was developing telepathic powers from taking the stimulant Wake-EZ. She thought it was just the side-effects of treating her terminal disease. However, just prior to implementing her plan, Emily started "hearing voices". Just like Foreclosure, she was planning to goad Galatea into attacking her, which would rupture the suicide vials implanted in her body and kill her. Much like her teammate, Foreclosure, she lured Galatea Future into a meeting by threatening hostages. Despite all the best efforts afforded to them, Emily and the others knew they only had a matter of months before they would be dead.Įmily showed up in Millennium City, this time under the codename Philly Buster. Emily and a few others were the ones that survived but were revealed to have stage 4 cancer. There was an incident and the area was bombarded with reactivated radiation. That pretty much killed any "potential" for the team overall with the agency.Īs was later revealed in "Future's Guardian" #14, Emily was transferred to X-Tend Services and served with several other former Gold Standard heroes to provide security for Witt Energy concerning an experiment involving delta radiation. They put an end to the gangs and the drug-dealers in the area and they were just making a name for themselves when they were convinced to sign with the Gold Standard Agency.Īs the only female of the team, Emily was offered to pose for "Capes and Boots" Magazine, but she quickly refused, along with their continual offers to "remake" her image. They each became registered heroes through PRIMUS, with Emily using her squad nickname "M-Street" as her codename.
